The Records Management program educates and provides students, faculty, and staff with tools that assist them with improving the management of their records. Our training and resources provide a better understanding of records management and support the donation and transfer of records to the University’s Archives and Special Collections.

This presentation is part of the Drake BUILD program and offers insight into the vital roles of archivists and records managers across diverse sectors, highlighting their collaborative efforts in preserving archival materials effectively. It covers foundational principles, emphasizing their relevance at Drake University. Participants are provided with the opportunity to explore archival collections, learn to integrate primary sources into instruction, and gain proficiency in electronic file management.
