This is a research guide for students and faculty in the World Languages and Culture (WLC) Department at Drake University. 

The WLC Department offers the following programs and courses for all undergraduate students at Drake:

  • Major in Spanish (requiring 33 credit hours)
  • Minor in Spanish for the Medical and Health Professions (requiring 18 credit hours)
  • Minors in Arabic, Chinese, French, German, and Japanese (requiring 18 credit hours)
  • Minors in Spanish, East Asian Studies, and Latin American Studies (requiring 21 credit hours)
  • Regular courses related to American Sign Language (ASL) and Deaf culture.
  • Regular courses related to Italian language and culture.
