Get Started Researching - Tips

1. Get background information on your topic from subject encyclopedias written by experts in business (and related topics). These overviews can also be handy when you're searching for a topic.

2. Search "Find Journal Articles" (click box on left) to find scholarly journal articles, and "Find Books" to find both print and/or electronic ebooks. For specialized information, see the tabs located to the left.

3. Keep track of your sources and generate your bibliography by using a citation manager. 

4. Meet with a librarian  Go to the "Get Library Research Help" tab on the left for a variety of ways to contact us. if you need help thinking through your research question and finding quality information. Look for the email and appointment links under the pictures of the business librarians. This guide is intended to get you started; it is not an exhaustive list of all Cowles resources in business. Let's work together 1:1, either in person or via Zoom, as you focus and develop your research!
