Adding Database Links to Your Guides

We have changed the way we link to databases. Please follow these steps when adding a database link to your guides:

  1. Go to the Article Databases page and find the database to which you want to link.
  2. Right-click (Ctrl+click on Mac) on the database name and select "Copy Link" (could be "Copy Link Address" or "Copy Link Location").
  3. In the "Link URL" field of your Research Guide box, paste the link you just copied. It should look something like "http://library.drake.edu/find/article-databases/goto/name-of-database".
  4. Do not check the "Add proxy URL to the front of this link" checkbox. This is a change from how things have been done in the past. The proxy will automatically be applied to the link if it's needed.
  5. Click "Create Link."
